In 2024, for our Capstone Project, my teammate and I - a group of 2 - were tasked to research on a problem and create a solution by ourselves. Through multiple stages of research and interviews, we came to the conclusion that green practices can be inconvenient for many.

We thought of different ways to make something that would make using recyclable bags more convenient, such as a color changing bag to grab attention when leaving the house, or a notification from an app to bring your reusable bag whenever you leave the house.

After we made a quick prototype of these, we tested with users, and decided to improve our projects to a keychain bag with a hole covered by plastic, to indicate whether the reusable bag was inside.

 

We also made an app where users could try Bag Sharing - if they forget to bring their reusable bag after shopping, they could get one from a bag sharing station at the store.​​
